An Afternoon at Vermilionville {Wordless Wednesday}

Continuing our travels in the south we decided to make a visit to Vermilionville in Lafayette, Louisiana. This historic village demonstrates Acadian, Native American, Creole, and African folklife cultures. (We had learned about the Acadians at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, you can see some photos of the presentation on the Wordless Wednesday post from our visit there.

We were pleased to find that admission to the park was covered by our reciprocal NARM membership, always something we check before our visits.

Here are a few of our pictures from the day.

    Lovely pictures! My girls would enjoy this seeing that spinning wheel. How was the gumbo?

    1. It was very good. We had the lunch special, way too much to eat. We had leftovers for dinner!
