Where is this on Wordless Wednesday? {Nov 6}

Last week I featured a picture of a couple of Little Monster’s favorite Pixar characters, Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story movies. EJ still likes the movies but at 12-years-old doesn’t share his little brother’s passion for dressing up like Woody, complete with cowboy boots.

He loves his Woody cowboy boots!

The Science Behind Pixar

I’m sure he would have loved visiting the scene of last week’s photo with his brother as well. It was the traveling Science Behind Pixar Exhibition at the Telus World of Science in Edmonton. This was an amazing event where EJ learned all about how the Pixar animators use science to create their fantastic movies and shorts.

You can read about our visit in my post, Discovering the Science Behind Pixar. I just checked their schedule and see the exhibit is currently at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science until April 5, 2020. If you are in the area I encourage you to go check it out.

As a bonus for homeschoolers and educators, the Pixar site has a bunch of free educational resources that go along with the exhibit.

Khan Academy also offers the course, Pixar in a Box, that homeschooling families and Pixar fans may enjoy.

This Week

A lovely spot to spend the afternoon

This week’s photo is from a favorite spot. I’ll give you a hint…they have some of the best ice cream ever!
